Consortium and Collaborative Programs

Allied Health Programs are offered through the Southeastern Regional Allied Health Consortium.  The Southeastern Regional Allied Health Consortium was created in 1991 and currectly consists of the Coastal AHEC and three other Southeastern North Carolina community colleges:

  Bladen Community College, Dublin
  James Sprunt Community College, Kenansville
  Southeastern Community College, Whiteville

Its members work in cooperation with the Coastal Carolina Health Alliance of hospitals in an eight-county region of southeastern North Carolina to serve health education needs in those counties.  The goal for the Consortium is to address this region's critical shortage of qualified allied health providers and to meet the personnel needs of local health care employers.

Students can meet admission requirements for any of the programs below at BCC and can complete the specified general education courses required in the allied health program at BCC with guaranteed transfer of the courses taken here to the college offering the curriculum.  The major courses in the allied health curriculum are taken at the community college specified as the college offering the program

The Consortium currently participates in the following accredited collaborative educational programs at the designated institution where the major curriculum is offered:
